SUBJECT: UCLA Registrar’s Office: Degree Confirmation – 09F – Fall 2009 Quarter

Dear DEREK SPRINGER:

This is to confirm the conferral of your UCLA degree in 09F – Fall 2009 Quarter:

MASTER OF SCIENCE

Your degree will now appear on official transcripts ordered via URSA (http://www.ursa.ucla.edu).  Your diploma will normally be available for mailing or in person pick up the last week of

• March for Fall graduates,
• June for Winter graduates,
• October for Spring graduates, or
• December for Summer graduates. 

Please call (310) 825-8883 for current recorded information about a specific availability date.  Your diploma will not be released if you have outstanding financial obligations to the University.  Remember you can always check URSA for your academic records and holds information.  Also, any privacy restriction you may have placed on your records will remain in effect after graduation.  You should check and, if necessary, update your privacy release status on URSA to ensure that our response to inquiries regarding your degree, attendance, etc., is consistent with your wishes.

If you wish to receive your diploma by mail, please complete the DIPLOMA MAIL REQUEST, available online at http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/forms/diplomamailreq.pdf, and return it with the appropriate fee.  Your diploma will be mailed in a sturdy cardboard envelope.

Other options available to you include:

1. Obtain the diploma in person with photo I.D. at 1113 Murphy Hall, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
2. Authorize an agent to obtain your diploma.  The agent must present the signed DIPLOMA AGENT AUTHORIZATION, available online at http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/forms with their photo I.D. to receive your diploma.
